Waffle Knocks Out Front Tooth

Okay, so the tooth was dangling by a thread - but the waffle just pushed it over the edge and out it came! This is Elizabeth's third lost tooth - but it is a major one - right in the middle at the front. She has already noticed that she can't say Fs properly - "they just disappear in my tooth!" It is a very cute look for her - especially since tonight she has a big date with Mark to go a Daddy/Daughter dance which she is beyond excited about. She is demanding that Mark wear a tie.

My New Favorite Place

This is a unpaid commercial.

I am now a huge fan of Acute Kids!! Miles has been sick on and off for a while now, coughing, not coughing, not quite himself - we saw the doctor on Monday, but by Friday at 5:30pm he started complaining that his ear hurt. We were watching Elizabeth's Karate class. By the time we got home, he was a crying blubbering wreck.

Our pediatrician - who is the best pediatrician EVER - recommended we take him to Acute Kids. The fantastic thing was that we were in an out of there in less than an hour, the less fantastic thing was that his diagnosis was a double ear infection, but they did prescribe the wonder drug Augmentin.

I was scared we were going to be awake all night, but after a dose of the other wonder drug Tylenol and starting the Augmentin - he slept until 7:30am.

So, if you are in need of a pediatric urgent care - I would highly recommend Acute Kids! They have locations all over the Metroplex. They even faxed the prescription to Walgreens AND called on Sunday to check on Miles. Crazy.

Back to Front Underpants

Miles is very funny about his underpants. I would post a picture but that's just wrong. But, he wears them backwards. Or as the English say - back to front. They are typical 4T underpants with Batman, Iron Man, and Transformers on them. But they just weren't thinking when they designed them and they put the cool superhero pictures on the butt. So. If you are 3 - you cannot see the cool pictures if they are on your butt.

Therefore, Miles shouts "back to front - back to front" whenever I try to put them on the traditional way. I think I will stop trying.

This is one of the tiny things that I know will pass one day and the sweet memory of him with a back to front wedgie will burrow down into the deep crevices of my brain never to be remembered again. Now that I have written it down I can look back and remember this moment forever. Especially when his prom date comes over in 13 more years.
